In cases of vital urgency when the office is closed an emergency order can be sought from the Royal Courts of Justice in London, but you must obtain a legal adviser for this purpose. If there is a real need for an emergency order which cannot wait until the office re-opens your legal adviser should telephone 020 7947 6000 and ask to speak to the clerk to the duty Queen's Bench Division judge.
These leaflets describe what steps you need to take to appeal to the Upper Tribunal against a decision given by the First-tier Tribunal. Please note that, in the first instance, you will need to ask the First-tier Tribunal judge for permission to appeal. The leaflets below explain how to make an application to the Upper Tribunal and what will happen in an appeal to the Upper Tribunal after it has been made.
PLEASE NOTE
There are strict time limits which apply when appealing to the Upper Tribunal. Please read the guidance below and/or refer to any letter which we have sent to you about your onward appeal rights which might explain what the time limits are.
